Pink Floyd

One of the best rock bands of all time. I grew up listening to these guys during the 1970's and 80's. They got me through some crazy times. For me, their music was very soothing and meaningful. Hell, I could recite and sing along to all their songs, most especially, off "The Wall" album.

Click HERE for a biography of the band. And check out the video below for one of their last live performances. The audio and visual quality is pretty damn good.

"The lunatic is on the grass.
The lunatic is on the grass.
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs.
Got to keep the loonies on the path."

One of my favourite bands. Brings back memories of my youthful days.
I watched them a couple of years ago when they reunited for a charity gig in London. It was amazing.
Thanks for sharing.
Take it easy and I'll see you on the dark side of the moon...

What a great band, even today their music kicks the shit out of much of what's called music these days. They were truly groundbreaking.

klahanie- What verse does the come from? I'm familiar with a lot of Pink Floyd's work but I'm not remembering that one at the moment. Probably would if I heard the song.

Anyway, yeah, you have good taste, man, in music. I wish I could have seen them in concert like you did in London. I bet that was fuckin' amazing!

No problem with the sharing, dude. I like sharin' a lot of things. heh heh. I'll see ya on the 'dark side of the moon', man... Another great album from them, btw. But then, what album of theirs wasn't? Take care.

The Wolf- I couldn't agree with ya more, man. You hit the proverbial nail on the head. They and Led Zeppelin and The Doors and Black Sabbath all were groundbreaking. I could list more but you know their names. Kudos to your great taste in music, too, dude.

As you know and we've discussed before, much of today's heavily marketed and corporate made bands aren't worth a shit. They're just young, untalented, spoiled and clueless. If they didn't have the look that the music company wanted, they wouldn't have the fame and money thrown at them. Justin Bieber and all those assclowns could never hold a candle to the classic greats.

Eh, enough ranting. They're not worth it. Take care, Wolf.

And what, Sir Tom, was Emily playing with, pray tell? Or do I want to know? That's another good song, by the way.
