I'm an alcohol boy these days but happy 420 to the rest.
Until I took on my new "career" as unemployed blogger, I worked in an alternative high school. This was always a day we could count on being fairly easy, as most of the severely troubled kids either stayed home to get high, or came in baked out of their gourds and couldn't really/didn't want to hit any staff.
"Hey man, you gotta joint? Sure would be a lot cooler if you did."
ah kelly, i've a hankering now. think i'll start growing a couple o plants again :)

Far out. You know like I heard that marijuana screws up your short term memory..ummm...what am I doing at this site and why am I commenting? Oh yeah, you know like I heard marijuana screws up your short term memory but I almost forgot about that.
I tried smoking some dried banana skins and didn't get a buzz. I tried smoking a pair of dirty old socks and kinda' got a buzz. Then, I almost remembered I'm going to Vancouver where I've had a few tokes in my time. And I almost remember that it wasn't the cost of the pot that concerned us, it was the cost of the groceries when we got the munchies :)
Must go now cause I want to watch the TV and freak out over all those trippy colours n' stuff...
Awesome Chilled Out Shy Sir Tom- Well, gosh darn it... I don't know much about it, either, dude. And if I did, I would make sure I didn't inhale. You drink alcohol? Why... That's just so hard to believe. Next you'll be telling me you're English. lol. Not only did I salute the skunk, I burnt him, too.
The Angry Lurker- Yeah, we all have our vices, don't we. Could be food. Could be nicotine. Could be... well, you get the picture. :)
DocStout- Damn. The kids would hit the staff at that school? Sounds like a rough atmosphere to work in. At least the ganja made them calmer.

G- Isn't it, though? And I know you've heard and read this probably a million times before, but drinking alcohol leads to more deaths, in so many different ways, than pot ever has.

I heard about that old urban legend or rumor like everyone else did back then. Tried it in high school. Of course, nothin' happened. It was nasty as hell, too. But I guess the dirty socks worked out for ya, though, huh? I know what you mean by what you said towards the last, there. :) You go on ahead and enjoy the trippy TV colours, dude. I spent 4/20 at the dentist. All I got was toothpaste, and some nerve pain. Do you think the dentist forgot that it was a holiday? I haven't had a chance to watch the humorous history video yet, though I got high looking a the pics!
THE SNEE- Eegads! Going to the dentist sucks bit time. Memories of crowns, pulled wisdom teeth and other dental work are twirling about in my head just thinking about it. Yeah, I'm pretty sure your dentist didn't acknowledge 420 Day in the least. :) I'm lol on your "high" from the pics comment. The video is pretty darn cool, too. Hope you are feeling better, Rebecca. I live in one of the most uptight states in the entire country. 420 Day was great for me. Though it would have been greater if I'd had something to celebrate it with, if ya know what I mean. ;)

LilPixi- Oh yes, I do very well know how it speaks to thee. ;-) lol. I've always wanted to try the vaporizer method, myself. Just never wanted to spend the money on one. I kinda figured, with your operations and lung issues, you might have to switch to something like that.
I agree with what you said at the last, too. People who criticize it have no idea what they're talking about. I've studied everything there is to know about it. I could write my own book, matter of fact.
