I've always thought the images produced in this form of art are fascinating because of the amazing creativity and imagination involved. Everyone has a different perception of what is going on or what is supposedly symbolized in the artwork.
What do you see? Random colors or random unconnected images or maybe just a mess and splashes of color here and there?

What is this? What is happening here? You choose what you want to see.
A world of possibilities await everyone, both in art and in life. Some wait too long, thinking those possibilities will come to them, while others rush forward, without a thought. Then there are those who quietly observe and study before making their opinions or stepping toward those possibilities and grasping them with either hands or their minds.
I love it. My favorites are Larry Carlson and Alex Grey.
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly,
ReplyDeleteFascinating and yes very visual topic. Of course, like any form of art, it's subject to our perceptions and interpretations. I do like this kind of stuff. Maybe not on my walls, but I like it nonetheless.
Anyway, the naked babe in the top photo has put me right off my thinking process. See you dude, I'm off to fantasy land...:-)
Way to highlight creative souls Kelly! It's easy to get lost in all of them!
ReplyDeleteThese are cool because you can look and look and still not really "see" everything.
ReplyDeleteLike much in life, it's all subject to our perception.
ReplyDeleteInteresting pieces of art :)
I heart psychedelic art.
ReplyDeleteI fart psychedelic art.
I love art in general.
In the first one, I see more going on than I can make sense of, which is the thing about psychedelic art.
The Jerry one is just whackin' me out for many reasons.
2nd to last one seems like it focuses on chakras. It's really cool.
Last one has always been a favorite of mine.
Is the naked woman being tortured in the first picture? I am opposed to such practices unless the woman is enjoying it. The last picture gets my vote for having no demons or ugly fuckers in it.
ReplyDeleteStatic- I like their work, too. Sometime this art can draw you in, if it is done well enough. I think it takes a very creative mind. Take care, dude.
ReplyDeleteklahanie- You got that right, man. It truly is all in the eye of the beholder. we all see what we want to see. I love this type of art, too. I've got a couple psychedelic posters hanging up in my computer room, here. I would have more here and there throughout my place but I've got shitloads of other pics and art covering all my walls now. Ha ha. My wife digs American Indian paintings, especially.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the naked babe in Fantasy Land. Don't let her sneak away with your wallet while you're asleep. Take care, Gary, mi amigo.
THE SNEE- The more positive creativity and open-mindedness, the better, I always say. And yeah, it is easy to get lost in them. Take care, Rebecca. Stay warm.
ReplyDeletemiddle child- It's so true what you say. I think if people take a good look at a lot of this art, they would find joy in seeing things they wouldn't have seen before with just a glance. Take care, middle child.
ReplyDeleteWendy aka Quillfeather- I agree with both statements you made. I think people will see what they want to see in art and in life. Take good care, Wendy and thanks for visiting my blog. Don't be a stranger. :-)
ReplyDeleteLilPixi- Hell, you probably belch and poop art, too. Hahaha. I figured you were pretty artsy. I know how you feel about it (art). I love it, too. I'm the same way. Even as a kid and in high school, I was always drawing or creating stuff- from pottery to painting. These days, I just like looking at it and appreciating it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the first one is very complex. I think they're worshiping Jerry Garcia in the second. I didn't connect chakras to the second last one. I don't know enough about the subject. Glad you enjoyed them, LilPixi. Have a great day!
Gorilla Bananas- I think she's just bound up, waiting for you to do with her as you wish. Go easy on her. It's her first time, you lusty simian, you.
ReplyDeleteOkay here is what I see in those pictures
ReplyDelete1.Alien turkey from another dimension peeing in a lake
2. Demonic deer shooting lasers out of their eyes to kill smurfs
3.Kermit the frog giving a hand job for crack
4. Satan
5. Satan
6. I think it's Satan
The Wolf- Kermit giving a hand job for crack? LMAO big time. Yes, of course, the last 3 are of Satan. Who else could it be but the Master of Chuckles & Sorrow. Weeeeeee!
ReplyDeleteI just love the pretty colors, personally. ;) *L*
ReplyDeleteLana- I know what you mean. ;)
ReplyDeleteHey Kelly, artwork is a matter of perception and interpretation, as my wife is an artist I know this too well.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures have alot going on in them and they sort of draw you into look at what's going on. I like that.
Greg- I certainly agree with you on that. Interesting that your wife is an artist. That's cool. My wife is good with numbers. I'm the artsy one of the two of us.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they do draw you in. I think the best art does that to people. Take care, dude.
Kelly, is this how all Americans treat friends? I think I don't like this very much.
ReplyDeleteRafael- Yeah, but gift giving is just so mundane. This method shows you're willing to go the extra mile and that you care (a lot).
ReplyDeleteBecause that's what friends are fooorrr. Sing along now!
